As we gear up for the May 7 Primary Election, here are some important dates to know:
Public Test:
The Public Test of Election Equipment will be conducted on March 25, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the voter registration office located on the first floor of the LaGrange County Courthouse at 105 N. Detroit St., LaGrange, IN 46761.
Absentee Voting:
Absentee voting, at the LaGrange County Courthouse at 105 N. Detroit St., LaGrange, IN 46761, begins Tuesday April 9, 2024, and goes through Monday May 6, 2024, at noon. The hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and Saturday, April 27, and Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Voter Registration:
LaGrange County Clerk Kimberley Johnson wants to remind voters to check their voter registrations.
Go online to indianavoters.com and check your registration information. Be sure you are registered at your current address. Inactive registrations may have been cancelled.
Voter registration closes April 8, 2024, for the Primary Election and reopens May 21, 2024.
The Primary Election is on May 7, 2024
Be sure to check your Indiana Driver’s License or ID Card. If they are expired, they may still be used if they expired after November 8, 2022. If expired before that date, the driver’s license or ID card must be renewed to be able to use for voting.
