Trinity Pratt’s hitting for the cycle and consecutive eight-run outbursts in its final two at bats boosted Prairie Heights to a 22-11 NECC softball victory at West Noble last Thursday night.
The Lady Panthers entered the top of the sixth trailing by a count of 8-6. Heights tallied eight runs in the sixth to take a 14-8 lead. After the Lady Chargers cut the margin to four with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth, the Lady Panthers struck for another eight-spot in the top of the seventh.
Pratt knocked in seven runs with her home run, triple, double and single. Savana Phares collected three hits and three RBI for the victors, while Kalli Aaron went 4-4 with two RBI and four runs scored. Chloe Riehl lined a tworun single Lillie Booher clubbed a RBI double and both Madi Strater and Shyanne Duncan had two hits and a RBI.
Jacelynn McDonald blasted a three-run triple for West Noble. Emily Thompson had two doubles and a RBI. Julia Vargas singled three times.
Pratt and Strater each pitched three innings. Pratt struckout one and walked none in her stint. Strater fanned five and walked four.
The victory improved Prairie Heights to 3-0 overall and to 2-0 in the NECC.
