Lybie Miller

Lybie Michele Miller, age 13, of Ligonier, formerly of Topeka, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident that took place on Friday, September 16, 2022 in LaGrange County. She was born on November 25, 2008 the daughter of Kenneth and Lyndsey (Hoover) Miller in Kendallville.

Lybie was a student at Westview Jr-Sr High School and a member of the Church of The Stone in Wolcottville. She was a devoted follower of Jesus and was responsible for leading her family to Christ, always making sure they were in church. Lybie was selfless, always putting others before herself. Growing up, she loved to be outside and was lovingly referred to as “Princess Pig Pen” by her brothers, with whom she was very close. Lybie was talented and artistic, great with crafts, baked incredible cookies, and was in several plays. She loved her grandpa Hoove’s Harley Davidson, getting coffee with her mom every day after school, and of course anything purple or orange. Adored by her family and friends and deeply loved by so many, Lybie was on loan from heaven and is now back with The Lord.

Lybie will be greatly missed by her parents, Kenneth and Lyndsey Miller of Ligonier; three brothers; Tyler Miller, Kyle Miller, and Sylas Miller, all of Ligonier; grandparents, Jeff and Kim Hoover of Wawaka; Lloyd and Edna Miller of Topeka; great-grandparents, Don and Sue Hoover of Rome City, along with an abundance of aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and last but not least, her special rabbit, Ruby.

A funeral service will be held in Lybie’s honor at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Stones Hill Community Church, 151 W. Stones Hill Road, Ligonier. Pastor Michael Stanley of Church of The Stone will officiate. Burial will follow at Orange Township Cemetery.
