The Lakeland boys golf team tuned up for sectional play Tuesday evening by competing in a triangular match against Northridge and Fairfield at Meadow Valley Golf Club in Middlebury.
Led by Ben Keil’s round of 77, the Lakers totaled a team count of 374 strokes. Northridge came in with a score of 316 and Fairfield had a tally of 355.
The five-over par round authored by Keil featured birdies on the first, fourth, fifth and sixth holes on the front nine. He then beat par on both the 12th and 16th holes on the back side.
Tommy Curtis carded an 86 to follow Keil on the Laker scoresheet. Nate Keil had a 104, Jensen Miller a 107, Tucker Klopfenstein a 115 and Ethan Rasbaugh a 130.
Ty Miller of Northridge and Brayden Miller of Fairfield shared individual medalist honors with round of 76. After Ty Miller on the Raider ledger came Brock Reschly (78), Conner Hochstetler (79), Coby Hochstetler (83), Landon Sorg (89) and Brayden Maxey (91).
Miles Nine followed Brayden Miller in the Falcon lineup with an 87. Next came Andrew Miller (95), Carter Kitson (97) and Noah Hochstetler (99).
All three teams will return to Meadow Valley Friday for the IHSAA sectional tournament. Play is set at begin at 8 a.m.
