The LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce proudly announced that the 2025 Power of the Purse event has achieved a remarkable milestone, raising an impressive $49,560. This amount marks the highest funds raised in the event’s history, underscoring the community’s dedication to supporting local students in need.
The funds generated through the Power of the Purse directly benefit backpack programs in LaGrange County public schools, which are crucial in providing students with access to food outside of traditional school hours. These initiatives play an essential role in ensuring that children and their families receive the support they need during challenging times.
“This was truly another record setting year for Power of the Purse,” remarked Sara Patrick, Executive Director of the LaGrange County Chamber. “The generosity of our attendees, sponsors, and community partners continues to make a meaningful impact on students right here in LaGrange County. Because of this support, more children will receive the resources they need to succeed.”
Since its inception in 2010, Power of the Purse has raised over $325,000, demonstrating the unwavering commitment of the LaGrange County community to empowering local students and families.
