The band Here Nor There will perform at two youth events at The Garage Community Center, 111 W. Lafayette St., LaGrange, made possible by a LaGrange County Community Foundation grant.
Reason 4 Hope received $2,500 for operational support as its youth programming expands. The award comes from LIFE, a youth philanthropy group of the LaGrange County Community Foundation.
The grant will enable Reason 4 Hope to expand at The Garage for afterschool programming, youth nights, summer camps and more.
“Without the help of this LIFE grant, it would’ve been difficult to expand our programming with our recent ability to use the community center. We are now able to offer monthly youth nights and have a semi-permanent space for our area youth and their families for gatherings,” Reason 4 Hope Director Jamelle Godlewski said.
Parties are planned with live music on Feb. 25, 6-9 p.m., for junior high students, and March 18, 7-10 p.m., for high schoolers.
Reason 4 Hope was founded in 2011 and has been focused on youth outreach since 2016. The organization has developed great working relationships with local schools and groups to impact youth and their families, said Godlewski.
