Graduates, lost classmates honored at Prairie Heights


A graduation ceremony was held Friday night at Prairie Heights High School to honor and celebrate the 2022 graduates. Ninety-eight graduates, as well as lost classmates were honored during the ceremony. Commissioners declare road emergency

The LaGrange County Commissioners declared an emergency in the southeastern part of the county during a special meeting on Wednesday morning. A piece of CR 650S east of CR 1150E is currently closed and under water. The LaGrange County Highway Department hired a consultant to design a solution to ease the flooding and repair the road. American Legion members stand at attention during a Memorial Day service on Monday at Riverside Cemetery in Howe. Sen. Sue Glick spoke during the Monday morning observance. A Memorial Day ceremony was held later that morning at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange. More photos appear on Page 3.

Dean Kauffman, born March 9, 1952, age 70, of Middlebury, died at 6:06 a.m. on Sunday, May 29 at home surrounded by his family. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
